Creating a tenant

Create tenants from the Knitt dashboard. Each tenant gets:

• A unique tenant ID used in all API calls
• Separate API keys
• Its own content types and entries
• An independent media library
• Dedicated hosting (if you have a hosting plan)

The number of tenants you can create depends on your CMS plan:

Environments

Each tenant can have separate development and production environments. Entries and media are isolated between environments, but content types are shared.
